Sara Mitich is a Canadian actress who played the role of Lieutenant Commander Airiam in the first season of Star Trek, Discovery and then Lieutenant Nilsson in the second season.
The Lt Nilsson character was actually the bridge replacement for Airiam when she dies in the first series.
The character did re appear in the second series but due to Mitich`s bad reaction to the characters make up Airian was played by fellow Canadian actress Hannah Cheesman.
In her early life in Canada, Mitich studied at the National Ballet School of Canada.
But she gave up on her dream of being Prima Ballerina after a groweth spurt meant she didnt`t have the ideal body type for that cut throat World.
