Scott Bakula is best known for his five-year role as time traveler Sam Beckett on the sci-fi adventure series `Quantum Leap.` His performance brought him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series, in addition to four consecutive Emmy Award nominations and three additional Golden Globe nominations. He is also a five-time honoree of the Viewers for Quality Television. Under his Bakula Productions Inc. (BPI) , Bakula executive produced and starred in the CBS series Mr. & Mrs. Smith`. The company also produced the CBS telefilm "The Bachelor`s Baby,` with Bakula starring.
His feature film credits include voicing and singing inthe animated musical `Cats Don`t Dance` and starring roles in `Lord of Illusion`, `Color of Night` ,`A Passion To Kill`, `Sibling Rivalry` `Necessary Roughness` and `American Beauty`. Bakula also received a 1988 Tony nomination for his starring role in the Broadway musical "Romance/Romance." His other theater credits include `Marilyn: An American Fable,` `Three Guys Naked From the Waist Down` and `Nite Club Confidential.`
